Most Christians don't have a problem with salvation of the spirit. We recognize that Jesus died for our sins and saved us from eternal, spiritual death. But, this is only one of the curses we were redeemed from. Jesus redeemed us from the three-fold curse of the law. Obviously, the most important part is eternal life through Jesus. But, we were also redeemed from the curses of sickness and poverty.

OK, I lied -- well, not on purpose. Perhaps I should say "I changed my mind." In Part 4 of this series "Power Your Business Through Positive Thinking" I said that we would deal with the final step -- action -- in Part 5. But, I realized that, while action is definitely important and you won't get anywhere until you act, there is another important step to take before acting. You have to have a plan. Human beings have a unique ability: the ability to turn thoughts into reality, dreams into substance. You see, it isn't enough to think your thoughts and dream your dreams.

In Part 4 of the series we are going to talk about planting seeds. Your mind is a fertile garden. What you plant in it will grow. Or, perhaps more accurately, what is planted in it will grow. If you want to reap the harvest you desire, you have to make sure you plant the right seeds.

"The creative mechanism within you is impersonal. It will work automatically and impersonally to achieve goals of success and happiness, or unhappiness and failure, depending upon the goals which you yourself set for it. Present it with 'success goals' and it functions as a 'success mechanism'. Present it with negative goals, and it operates just as impersonally and just as faithfully as a failure mechanism. Like any other servomechanism, it must have a clear-cut goal, objective, or problem to work upon.

Developing a positive mental attitude takes time and effort. But, the results are well worth it. Just like tending a garden, you have to weed out what you don't want, and you have to plant what you do want. So, today, we are going to learn how to weed the garden of the mind.

There are people who firmly believe that their thoughts have the ability to change the direction of their lives, and there are others who think such beliefs are based on fairy tales. I am convinced that there is no other single factor that can alter the course of your life and your business more than learning to control your thoughts. As a general rule, negative thoughts bring negative results, and positive thoughts bring positive results.

Your thoughts have far more control over your circumstances than you realize. The fact is, you can learn to control your thoughts and, in the process, control your business. Or, you can continue to allow your thoughts to control your circumstances and watch your business go down the drain.
